Adsense is no doubt the major source of earning for many publishers and bloggers. With the success of Adwords the publisher have always relevant ads for their contents with AdSense. Adsense currently gives opportunity to display AdSense ads on four mediums ;
1. Adsense for contents
2. Adsense for search
3. Adsense for feeds
4. Adsense for domains
If you have many feed subscribers then its worth adding the Adsense Ads to your feeds. So how to Add Adsense Ads to Feeds ?
There can be two type of situations when you are trying to add AdSense to the feedburner feeds.
1. Adsense and Feedburner Accounts are Associated with same Google Account
In such situation it is very easy to add Adsense ads to the feeds. Just Go to Adsense > Adsense Setup > Adsense for Feeds. At the bottom you can find the feeds associated with same Google account. With few simple steps you can add the Adsense Ads to this feed.
2. Adsense and Feedburner Accounts are Associated with different Google Accounts
It can be possible that the feeds, at which you want to place the Adsense Ads, is associated with a Google Account which is different from Google Account associated with AdSense. In that case first you have to transfer the feedburner account to the Google Account associated with Adsense.
1. Log in to Feedburner account. Go to the feeds you want to transfer to other Google account.
2. Click on transfer feeds.
3. In the field “ Send request to email address “ give the email address associated with AdSense account and click on the button “ Send Transfer Acceptance Request “. Go to the email account and accept the transfer to complete the transfer process. In that way you can transfer the feedburner feeds associated with one account to other without any change to to the subscribers and feed address.
Now to add Adsense Ads to the feeds just follow the steps given in 1st situation.
Recommended Settings for the Adsense for the feeds
It is better to have the following settings for the Adsense for the feeds. However you can change the setting to suits your need.
Ad Type : Text and Image Ads
Frequency : Each feed item
Post Length : Post of any length
Position : At the Top of the feed item
Colors : Allow Adsense to optimize feed ad color choices automatically
Save all the setting and go the feed address to check the newly added AdSense ads to the feeds.
