After little blogging the bloggers start to search " how to promote your blog " in blog arena. Considering the millions of blog out there the promotion of blog is necessary. Its better to let the people know rather to wait for the people to notice. After going through most of blog promotion material, people gets the ideas like  submission to blog directories, commenting to other blog, participate in the forums etc . but will it help in promoting your blog ? yea it will but not in a big way as you are expecting and you will not get the expected promotion out of this effort. Then what's the right way to do it ? you need to answer yourself 1st of all why you need to promote your blog ? obviously to get the visitor to read your words and get more and more exposure for your blog.

Quality blog needs lesser effort for promotion

If you have quality blog with well defined niche then its every chance that community start developing around that blog. Community helps a lot in promoting your blog and they share the load of promotion of your blog with you. They share your blog material on social networking sites which can play a major role in promotion of your blog. This will reduce effort on your part to promote your blog. Promoting a blog on search engine (SEO of blog ) will give you fruitful results.Having your blog in top ranking in search engines can do wonders for your blog and you will feel no other promotion techniques can produce such results. It will make you achieve the maximum goals for promotion of the blog.

2. Promote Your Blog on Social Networking Sites

Bloggers should thanks the social medium like facebook and twitter. These are really the two which can promote your blog like anything.

To promote your blog on facebook create your blog page on facebook to allow people to like it. If anyone like your page on facebook it means he/she also telling their friends about their " like " then there is every chance that their friend can also like that and so on... Similarly auto post your blog posts on your your facebook profile.

Create twitter profile of your blog and auto tweet your blog post on twitter. Try to increase your follower on the twitter but don't increase them blindly. Get the twitter followers which have some interest in niche of your blog because such followers have the tendency to retweet your blog post.

There are also other social networking sites like Digg, Stumble upon where you can promote your blog.

3. Communicate With Top Bloggers of Your Niche

Mostly top bloggers of different niche are humble in nature. When you try to communicate them positively they do respond you. There are many ways to communicate them you can communicate them by commenting on their blog post you can reply them at twitter etc. In this way the top blogger can go to your blog and if you have something quality there they do tend to share it with their community. If any top blogger do so then  you get huge exposure and promotion. So don't be shy & reluctant. Try to communicate positively with the top blogger of you niche.

4. Write Guest Posts on Top Blogs

Writing guest post , especially on Top blogs , can be one of the best way to promote your blog. Most of bloggers are hesitant of this but it can really put you in the spotlight. Top blogs allows you to put your blog link in guest post which can give a door to thousand of their visitors to visit your blog.

Its also help you in 1st point (promote your blog on search engines ). Top blogs have good page rank and getting a do follow link from there will certainly improve your blog SEO.

4. Submit your blog to blog directories especially the directory like mybloglog ,technorati etc.

5. if you can afford, run an email marketing campaign for your blog.

6.  same as above, if you can afford do advertise your blog.

7. Put you blog url in your email signature.

8. Submit your blog feed to RSS directories.

9. Exchange links with other blogs in your niche.

10. Do some offline promotion.

This methods are not the final list of ways to promote your blog. You can find many other ways but the best thing is 1st have something quality to promote then promote it.
