Searching & finding the old tweets is tedious work whether tweets belongs to yourself or anyone . In twitter time line you can only see the 20 latest tweets from the tweeter as twitter show the tweets in newer to older order. In case you want to find or search older tweets you have to click " More" in the bottom of the timeline and then its loads another twenty old tweets for you and you can carry on this process to search/find the older tweets but suppose if a tweeter is tweeting forty (40) tweets (avg.) per day then its would be tedious work to see the tweets of previous month.
There are other easy ways to search & find the old tweets of any tweeter. Which includes the advance search feature of tweeter and through Google reader.
Search old tweets from twitter Advance Search
In twitter advance search you can type the name of the tweeter in the people>from this person field. Select the date ranges in dates and search . You will find the older tweets of the tweeter. The other thing is search result is more user friendly which includes navigation button at the bottom like "older" or "newer" which are more user friendly than the "more" button in the time line. you can navigate through the old tweets by using these buttons.
Search Old Tweets from Google Reader
You can search the older tweets of any tweeter through Google Reader also. But first you have to add the tweeter's tweet to Google Reader which i explained in my post Interesting way of reading tweets through Google Reader.
After adding the tweeter's feed in the Google Reader you can navigate more easily than the twitter to find the old tweets by utilizing the "previous items" or "next items" button available at the bottom of the feed items.
The Other way is you can use the sorting option in the Google reader which is available under the feed settings > Sort by oldest. But keep in mind this will show the 30 days old tweet and if you want to search further older tweets than you have to use the navigation buttons as discussed above.
