Google recently rolls out one of major addition in its search technology Google Instant Search or Type to Search,which in a way is enhancement to Google Suggestions.They said about Google Instant

The most obvious change is that you get to the right content much faster than before because you don’t have to finish typing your full search term, or even press “search.”

So as you go on typing your search phrase in Google instant, it will start displaying result with each letter you type and also suggest or predict what you want to search for. When you press Enter it will freeze your result.

Some People which are unaware of the new addition in search technology are thinking that Google might be showing their previous search history and they tried to know " how to clear/remove/delete the Google search history".but they are actually unware of the Google instant search and if they want they can turn of the Instant search which is explained at the end of the post

Google Instant Search Keyboard Shortcuts

In Google Instant search you can save your time by not using the Mouse the actual purpose of instant search is to save the time of searcher during the search on Google and to accomplish this goal you should use the following keyboard shortcuts in Google Instant Search

1. While Typing in Google Search it will start showing you the suggestions for the search phrase and also it will start showing the result with every letter you type, keep on looking the result and hit the enter when you have the most relevant search result. It will freeze the Google Instant Search Result.

2. You will start seeing the Small Blue Arrow to the 1st result you can use Up & Down arrow key on your keyboard to switch through the search results.

3.To open the result in the same window press Enter on your keyboard.

4.To open the result in the new Tab in the same window press the Ctrl+Enter on your keyboard.

5.To open the result in new window press Shift+Enter on your Keyboard.

6. To Go the Next Page of search results, keep on Pressing the Down Arrow Key on your keyboard untill the small blue arrow reaches to Next Press Enter to Go to the Next Page.

How to Turn Off the Google Instant Search

If you donot want to search on Google Instant and want to switch to older search style than you can do it by clicking on the Down Arrow of the "Instant is on" present on the right side of the Seacrh Filed.

Click on " Off (Press Enter to Search) " and you will switch to old Enter Style search in which search results will only be displayed when you will hit the enter button .
